About KAAD Scholarship
KAAD(The Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst) is the scholarship institution of the German Catholic Church for post-graduate students and scientists from (developing) countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Near and Middle East, as well as Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
The KAAD Scholarship is a scholarship program by the Catholic organization KAAD (Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst) in Germany. The program provides financial support to postgraduate students from developing countries who are pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree in Germany.
The KAAD Scholarship is open to students from various academic fields, including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and theology. However, preference is given to students studying fields that are considered to be particularly relevant to the development of their home countries.
To be eligible for the KAAD Scholarship, applicants must be Catholic Christians, must be nationals of a developing country, and must have completed their university studies in their home country. They must also have a minimum of two years of professional experience, be under the age of 35 for master’s degree applicants and under the age of 40 for doctoral degree applicants, and have a good knowledge of the German language.

KAAD Scholarship 2023 Requirements For Postgraduate
To be eligible for KAAD International Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
– Intending candidates must be from developing or emerging countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America and also are currently living there.
– Candidates must possess a university degree and also professional experience from your home country
– Willing to get a master’s degree or a Ph.D. at a German university or do a just post-doctoral research project (two-six months for established university lecturers) at a German university
– Are you a Catholic Christian (or do you belong to any Christian denomination)? If you practice any other religion you can as well apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and also can prove their commitment to interreligious dialogue
– You must know and understand the German language before you think of starting your studies (KAAD can provide a language course of max. 6 months in Germany).
