The Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) 2025 is out again for all prospects with relevant professional experience and also a proven commitment to their countries’ development. So JJ/WBGSP program provides support for applicants that are willing to pursuing a master’s degree in development-related fields and also aims to nurture skilled professionals who will contribute to their countries’ socio-economic growth upon graduation.
What You Need to Know About JJ/WBGSP Scholarship
The JJ/WBGSP offers a fully funded scholarships for about 41 participating master’s programs across 24 universities that are mainly located in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Oceania, and even Japan.

To qualify for JJ/WBGSP 2025, all applicants must be unconditionally admitted (excluding financial considerations) to one of the 41 participating master’s programs. Applications will only be accepted from people that are for this program.
JJ/WBGSP Scholarship Requirement
All applicants must;
Have citizenship from a World Bank member developing country.
Must not hold any dual citizenship with from any developed country.
Must be healthy.
Hold a bachelor’s degree obtained at least three years before the application deadline.
Have a minimum of 3years of paid development-related work experience acquired within the past six years. Exceptions apply for candidates from fragile or conflict-affected states.
Be admitted unconditionally to one of the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s programs outside their home country.

How you can Apply for JJ/WBGSP 2025 Scholarship
To align with academic calendars, the application process is divided into two rounds:
Application Window 1: January 13 – February 28, 2025 (12:00 noon EST)
Application Window 2: March 25 – May 23, 2025 (12:00 noon EST)
