German Development Bank (KFW) Masters Scholarships 2021; This funded scholarship is for the East African Community (EAC) applicants
This is to inform you that the above-named scholarship programme is supported by the German Development Bank (KFW) which is in conjunction with the East African Community (EAC) that is also implemented by the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA). Their aim is to contribute towards training leaders that will advance and encourage EAC regional integration.
All candidates are to study in a region other than their own in selected universities and programmes. Successful candidates will be given well-detailed packages which involve scholarships for the master’s programs, internships, mentoring, networking events, and also further leadership training schemes. KFW scholarship will assist master’s students in courses like; Mathematics, Informatics, Engineering, Technology, Science, and Business Science programs.
IUCEA is inviting all intending students who are citizens of the East African Community (EAC) to associate and collaborate with States to apply for the KFW Masters Scholarships 2021
Objective of German Development Bank (KFW
Requirements:
Must be;
- citizens of an associate state of the East African Community;
- have the expected academic requirements and qualifications for admission to the program
- Present a good English motivation letter that detailed the following:
- What prompted you to pursue the Master’s Program selected in section 2 above
- Predict a professional engagement in the EAC Integration plans after completing the Masters
- What’s your Personal professional and academic vision for the next 5 – 10 years
Note: The aforementioned information should be covered in one letter writing of nothing less than 500 words
- Be below 35 years of age
Supporting Documents
Please present the following documents plus the application forms
a. Signed curriculum vitae
b. Certified copies of all university degree certificates. Please combine them into one file.
c. Certified copies of all university transcripts. Please combine them into one file.
d. Pertinent, an official letter that confirms the release from your employer. The letter must be on written letterhead.
e. Recent passport photograph in the color of your full head and upper shoulders.
f. Certificate of citizenship of an associate State in the East African Community like; a copy of national identity card/ passport/birth certificate;
Please note the following:
a. Applicant can also apply to more than one good University.
b. Submit your application form before the deadline for the applications, most especially when you encounter slow Internet speeds or frequent Internet outages.
c. Reduce the sizes of your documents as much as possible(you may zip them) to make them easier to upload.
d. Preferably all documents like scanned ones should be saved and also uploaded in pdf format
e. The maximum size should not be more or lesser than 25 MB.

Applications shall be sent via the following process:
- Identify the program and University of your choice
- Enter the application form for admission to the tertiary university (which is available from the university platform, check their website details)
- Enter the application form for the KWEscholarship (available on the IUCEA website at www.iucea.org/opening-soon-the-east-african-community-scholarship-program;
- Include the supporting documentation for the admission.
- Submit both application forms electronically to the University and copy them to the following email addresses:
