Yinka Ayefele, MON, was born in born on February 1 at Ipoti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. In his early years, he went to Our Saviour’s Anglican Primary School, Ipoti-Ekiti and also had His secondary school in Ekiti State. After he finished his secondary education, he went for his tertiary education at Ondo State College of Arts and Science, Ikare Akoko in Ondo State.
As today, Yinka Ayefele is one of the popular Yoruba gospel musicians and producer in Nigeria, he had received more than 200 awards after producing about 15 albums to his name as of 2016 and also received a prestigious award of Member of the Order of the Niger awarded by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, while he was on the throne of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2011) Ekiti cultural ambassador award.
Yinka Ayefele joined the Nigeria gospel industry in 1997 after he had a ghastly motor accident along Ibadan to Abeokuta that damaged his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair.

Yinka Ayefele has once worked as journalist and broadcaster at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria(NTA), Ibadan, whereby he also produced jingles and musical works on radio.
The truth is, he never had the passion for singing in his early days. He was thinking of becoming a banker or work in a firm as a clerk.
While he saw in himself tie in the corporate world with music not even in his plans but as fate would have it.

Kola Olawuyi visited and advised to come up with some great songs so that he could use the money made for his treatment.
After then, he came on stage on December 12, 1999, to release his debut album, which he titled “Bitter Experience.” He launched the music in 1998 to raise funds for his treatment, and the song brought him into the limelight. So, he then decided to stick to gospel music as his career path.
Bitter Experience followed by the release of his next album, Sweet Experience. Other albums released by Yinka Ayefele are Something Else, Divine Intervention, Life After Death, released in honor of Gbenga Adeboye a Nigerian radio presenter, musician, and comedian and a host of others.
Today Yinka has gone worldwide to present music, and he was also invited to Patience Jonathan’s elaborate dinner party that was held in August, 2013. Yinka Ayefele owned the popular radio station in Ibadan ” Fresh Fm 105.9. ”
