Clark Poultry Farms Ltd is seeking to fill an opening on one of our poultry farms near Hagersville.
This position is responsible to help in the planning and organizing the activities of a farm to meet the objectives of the company, as well as monitor animal health and welfare. This is a full-time position, with advancement opportunities available. Our working environment is very fast-paced at times, and requires a person who can give that extra commitment and time when needed. Working conditions are physically demanding, requiring attention to detail. We offer a competitive wage, benefits, as well as a company RRSP program.
Skills / Qualifications:
This position involves all aspects of working in poultry barns and working with poultry.
Ability to operate basic farm tools and equipment
Keeps current on accepted practices, current methods and new developments relating to animal health and nutrition.
Valid driver’s license
Maintain adequate inventory for supplies, equipment, etc.
Utilize computerized systems to maintain necessary recordkeeping and barn controls.Record keeping with On Farm Food Safety and Animal Care programs will be required.
Help with planning and scheduling part-time workers, as well as ensuring all employees on the farm follow proper safety practices
Good organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work with others
Physically fit, able to lift heavy objects
Other Important Considerations:
Work hours are based demands of the operation and including the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and airborne particles.
Personal protective equipment per applicable laws and regulations will be supplied.
