Some Criteria for establishing a gas business are as follows;

  • A shop (good and suitable place for selling)
  • Cylinder
  • Scale – For measuring the gas in the Cylinder (Manual and Computer or Digital)
  • Locate the nearest gas mega station/plant
  • Dispensing hose
  • Taps (For filling different types of cylinders)
  • Nido Transfer
  • Camp Transfer
  • Clip
  • Screwdriver
  • Shifting spanner

Rent A shop (good and suitable place for selling):

Locate a nice and bestselling shop for your gas business in other words, you do not advise you to rent anyhow shop, look for a place where you think you can spread wings and sell your gas very fast.

Buy 50KG cylinders (depending on how big your pocket is):

some folks buy 2-3 for a start, while the cost of empty gas 50KG cylinder in Nigeria is around 37-40k while some get it for just 32k at ojuelegba Lagos (some online research says 12.5Kg cylinder cost 6k) depending on your area.

Scale – For measuring the gas in the Cylinder (Manual or Digital):

The Weighing scale is of a different type, whereby, we have the digital and manual(Mechanical) weighing scale. I will recommend you go for the digital to calculate your gas and also save you a lot of stress from customers because they will fight you for short gas filling. (see picture below)

Locate the nearest gas mega station/plant:

This is the station you will be getting your gas at a lower price so, you could serve the consumers. Walk into any gas station near you and tell them you’re a new dealer and planned to be buying from them, they will register you on this list and sells to you at a cheaper price.

Dispensing hose:

This gas pump hose is for transferring gas from one cylinder to the other.

Taps:

This is an essential material to buy when starting a gas business because this material controls the release of gases to the burner.

Clips:

This gas pump hold clip is to tighten the hose to avoid leakage

Fire Extinguisher:

We all know how vital this tool is, we don’t pray for fire hazards but, trust me anything can happen anytime. So, we advise you to get a fire extinguisher for safety purposes.. before you call out the fire service company.

Others material includes screwdrivers, Shifting spanner et.al.
